Since 2012 we have been screening BVD disease in our breed with negative results every time. After a year of collecting samples we substantiated all the necessary screenings and reached an official BVD free status in february 2024.

Angus Stovold – judge form Scotland liked our animals. Our old cow Bezinka (sire Tarik red ET) placed on 2nd position, her calf – heifer Inka (sire Quaker Hill Dead Center) placed on 3rd place. In competition of breeders groups our girls win 1st place along with our young heifer Jezinka (sire Bio red ze Stvolínek). Group of our animals also placed 3rd place in competition across the breeds. Conclusion? Three animals, four awards 🙂

All of our animals were lent again for Junior team ČSCHMS. Although girls didn´ t reach winners’ podium, they did a perfect job with preparation and showing animals.

Whole event will last from april 22nd to april 24th 2023, at Brno fairground. Our animals will take part in aberdeen angus show at saturday 22.4.2023. Preparations are running high 🙂

During this year, we´ve built a 1500m³ reservior to keep rainwater from all the roofs at our farm. Rainwater from surroundings is collected into a basin also.

In cooperation with local Nature Conservation Agency we´ve built about eight small pools to support biodiversity (not only) for invertebrates.

We still continue in planting avenues of fruit trees, mostly old varieties.

Both our animals captivated judges form Canada – Lee a Dawn Wilson. Young cow CORRA ze Stvolínek (sire Melview Gordon K046) placed on 3rd position, her calf (sire BIO RED ze Stvolínek) was at 1st position in category calf – heifer.

Animals need to be accustomed to performing on a halter and take care of their appearance. Members of the ČSCHMS Junior Team actively participate in the preparation. We look forward to seeing you in Brno.
